The creative process
Behind the Scenes
A glimpse into the studio — from raw plaster to finished sculpture. Every piece is a meditation, a transformation, a story told through hands and materials.
Watch the process
From raw plaster to finished art.
These studio clips capture the intimate, hands-on process behind each sculpture — shaping, smoothing, detailing, and the dramatic paint pour that brings each bust to life.
Shaping the Bust
Anne smooths and shapes the raw plaster form by hand, using sandpaper to refine the surface. Every curve is intentional, every imperfection a deliberate mark of the handmade.
Moulding the Form
Hands work the wet plaster, building up layers and sculpting the bust's contours. This is where the raw material first takes on the shape of the human form.
Seam & Detail Work
Precision work on the seams and joins of the plaster cast. Anne uses her fingers and fine tools to blend and smooth the connections, creating a seamless surface.
Handling & Assembly
Carefully lifting and positioning the plaster forms on the work frame. The raw busts are fragile at this stage — every movement requires patience and a gentle touch.
Fine Detail Painting
Using a fine brush to apply gold and metallic pigments along the edges and contours. This delicate step brings warmth and luminosity to the sculpture's surface.
The Paint Pour
The most dramatic moment — vibrant acrylic paints in pink, blue, yellow and purple are poured freely over the bust. Anne guides the flow with her hands, creating bold, expressive colour compositions.
The four stages
How a sculpture is born.
The Mould
Each bust begins as a hand-moulded plaster form. Anne shapes the raw material by hand, allowing intentional imperfections — scars and textures that give each piece its unique character and emotional depth.
The Vision
Before any embellishment begins, Anne envisions the final piece — the colours, the materials, the story it will tell. Each bust is a portrait of resilience, beauty, and the human spirit rising from darkness.
The Embellishment
Swarovski stones, pyrite, amethysts, gold and silver plating, rhinestones, glass, natural stones, mother-of-pearl — each element is placed by hand with meditative precision. This is where plaster becomes precious.
The Finish
Layers of acrylic, pouring techniques, and epoxy seal the work. Pigments add depth and dimension. The final piece gleams with an inner light — a testament to the transformation from raw material to art.
The palette
Where plaster meets precious.
Anne works with an extraordinary range of materials — from raw plaster and pigments to Swarovski crystals, precious metals, and natural stones. Each material is chosen for its ability to catch light, hold meaning, and transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
